Mirror Lake - Peters Creek, Alaska
A special very place for me. We lived a quarter of a mile from this lake. It provided lots of fun for us in the summer as well as the winter. We had our baths in this lake as well as swimming.
Across the lake you can see the Boy Scout Camp. As teenagers we had an old red boat that we used to take across the lake so we could use their nice metal boats and canoes. Our red boat leaked so we need three people to go....two to row and one t0 bail!
In the winter, we skated on the lake. To keep warm we built a fire out of the spruce trees. The sap would almost explode the tree and the fire would soar up really high. We skated at night and when there was a moon out we had plenty of light to skate by.
