Memorial to Mike

He liked watching fierce cats on the animal shows.

I met Mike 40 years ago at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. He had moved from San Diego to Alaska to get his Masters in Education. He was 29 years old, had driven his car up the Alcan, a great adventure for him. I met him in the cafeteria and liked him immediately.

He was easy to talk to and and good looking. We were married 9 months later.
I was fortunate to be married to my best friend for 38 going on 39 years.

Thank you Mike for a wonderful life.

The Lark Ascending - For Margy

I first heard this music in the Serra Monte parking lot in San Francisco 30 years ago when we were living in California. It was from Fantasia on Greensleeves, The composer was Ralph von Williams with Sir Neville Marriner conducting the Academy of St Martin the Fields. I sat there entranced with the beautiful music. Listen and enjoy!

Tribute to Robin

Robin loved growing flowers. If I had to pick a flower she loved best it would be the blue Iris. She and Reid would go down to Eklutna Flats where the tide would come up and the irises and snap dragons would bloom prolifically.

After several years they were really picked over. She would transplant them in her yard with columbine, lots of petunias and other flowers.

It was that artistic expression of beauty and joy in showing her flower garden that an ethereal glow would appeared on her face.
